Promising big sound in a tiny package is what these are all about. But do they get lost in the sea of competitors at this price?
-

Last month we reviewed the Sennheiser Accentum Wireless. The headphones hit the sweet spot, putting them bang in the middle of the competition when it came to the price. Sennheiser seems to be aiming at achieving a similar result with the True Wireless.
At 12,990, these have plenty to offer in terms of features. They get ANC which is backed up by a beamforming mic array, a transparency mode, support for the aptX codec, multi-point Bluetooth and they also have an IP54 rating. The whole package seems well put together for the price that you pay.
We play Wolf Totem by The Hu and the True Wireless manage to portray a wonderful presentation of the hard hitting vocal, with enough detail and definition to make you go wow. The bass line that is the backbone of the track also sounds crisp.
We can't help but notice that these buds do not like to have a lot of fun. They drive the music with caution and apprehension. That translates to a sore lack of outright oomph and excitement which seems to be a theme with the Accentum series. But for those who like a more clinical listen, these are worth an audition.
A great touch
