PC PRO TECHNOLOGY EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2025

December 2025

Whether you want to buy a product today or next year, make sure you keep this reference to hand: the experience of over 5,000 people can't be ignored

At some point, we must really let AI loose on the amazing amount of data we have about customer service in the UK. The PC Pro Technology Excellence Awards have been running for almost three decades, a period of history that has seen the launch of the iPod, Facebook and ChatGPT.

During that time, several companies have achieved a level of consistency that puts Novak Djokovic to shame. Zen has pocketed almost 40 awards over the years, including an extra one this year for the all-new Digital Voice category. Brother and DrayTek are also well into double figures. That's an incredible achievement for all concerned and testament to the priority each company gives to customer support and product quality.

If only we could say the same for companies that come perennially near the bottom of our table. We won't name and shame for fear of the lawyers' letters (we've had a few of those over the years as well), but as with every year we advise you look carefully: is there a reason why that product is so cheap?

We couldn't produce these detailed reports without your time and patience, with over 5,000 people filling in our survey. Thank you! You make the awards what they are. And, as you're so wise, perhaps you can help. Despite being almost 30 years old, we still haven't figured out a Brits, Oscars or Emmys-style shortening of the awards name to propel them into the mainstream. Techies? Props? Proxies? Answers on a postcard, or even better by emailing letters@pcpro.co.uk.

BEST PC MANUFACTURER

It should be no surprise that British PC makers claim three of the top four positions in our satisfaction charts, as this is a pattern we've seen for many years. While we're not pretending that everyone has a perfect experience, we repeatedly hear praise for the customisation options, the ordering process and the reassuring levels of presales and post-sales support.
