Air India is redefining the way passengers track their luggage, making lost baggage less of a hassle.
In a major digital upgrade, the Tata Group-owned airline has become the first carrier in Asia to integrate Apple AirTag with its baggage tracking system. This new feature allows travelers to track their checked-in luggage in real time using their iPhone or any Apple device through the 'Find My' app.
This smart integration builds on the existing Air India baggage tracking feature available on the airline's mobile app and website. Travelers who add their journey under the "My Trips" section in the Air India app will now get instant updates about their baggage after check-in. For those using the website, the "Track My Bags" section offers similar functionality. Additionally, scanning the barcode on baggage receipts can also initiate tracking.
