ex: What inspired you to start your journey as creator and finance educator?

Sonia Shenoy: I realised the importance of financial independence very early in life. The freedom that comes with earning and growing your own assets is irreplaceable. I have been a television journalist for 16 years, and two years ago I realised how platforms are shifting, and distribution is moving to social. That insight helped me make the switch.

ex: One piece of advice you'd give to someone just starting out?

SS: Whatever field you are starting in, the best way to do it is just to start. There is no perfect way of doing anything. Finding your authentic voice and showcasing it to the world is the only way to do it. You have to learn to embrace failure along the way; allowing yourself to fail is the only way to learn and grow.

ex: What's one thing you always spend money on without regret?

SS: I never regret spending money on travel and learning something new. I try to learn a new skill or craft every year, so that growth never stops.
