Maco is raising the bar for access equipment rentals
B2B Purchase
|December 2025
Maco Corporation is actively building a modern rental ecosystem in India to meet the growing demand for safer, smarter, and more reliable access equipment. They are focused on helping contractors achieve higher output with less machine downtime, all while making high-end machinery accessible to a much broader range of companies.

How is MACO integrating telematics, predictive maintenance (PdM), or AI-driven diagnostics into its access equipment fleet?
It's true that in India, rental customers may not always ask for telematics right up front, but they absolutely expect increased uptime, faster service response, and fewer breakdowns. At Maco, we primarily use telematics to address our unique India-specific site challenges.
First, there's monitoring misuse. This includes tracking machine abuse, overloading, damage, and unauthorised operation, which are common issues on our busy infrastructure sites. The data also enables us to predict defects before dispatching a technician, saving significant time. We also use it for battery and diesel tracking; on electric Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), battery usage is a constant concern. Telematics helps us optimise charging cycles and prevent harmful deep discharges. For location tracking and logistics, our many sites are spread across large industrial corridors, and telematics helps us manage transport efficiently and reduce machine retrieval delays. Finally, for predictive maintenance, we schedule servicing based on actual usage trends—things like run hours, temperature, and hydraulic pressure—to ensure machines don't fail unexpectedly in the middle of a critical project.
While AI-driven diagnostics are still relatively new in India, we are preparing our fleet now so that we will be ready when digital usage increases. Our central goal is always to minimise downtime and maximise utilisation, which are the two most important performance metrics in the Indian rental landscape.
What is your strategy for accelerating the adoption of electric and hybrid MEWPs in India?
