INTUIT STRIKES MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH OPENAI TO EMBED AI MODELS IN FINANCIAL TOOLS
AppleMagazine
|November 21, 2025
Intuit has entered into a multiyear agreement valued at more than $100 million with OpenAl to integrate the latter’s advanced language models into Intuit’s suite of financial-software offerings.
-
Services such as TurboTax, QuickBooks and Credit Karma will gain embedded Al features that connect to OpenAl's ChatGPT platform, enabling conversational access to tax preparation, personal-loan assessment and financial-planning tools. While the companies have not disclosed the full duration of the contract, the collaboration signals a deeper integration of generative-Al capabilities into mainstream financial-software workflows.
According to public disclosures, the deal is designed to leverage Intuit’s proprietary financial-data assets, credit-model frameworks and domain expertise alongside OpenAl's scale and frontier Al systems. The objective is to allow users who link their Intuit accounts with ChatGPT to receive interactive guidance—including tax-refund estimates, mortgage or loan comparisons and business-cash-flow forecasts—within the conversational interface. In pre-market trading following the announcement, Intuit’s shares rose approximately three percent, underscoring investor attention to Al-related initiatives across fintech.
