WORCESTER Warriors signing Roma Zheng is hoping to help his new side return to the Premiership, with the hungry flyer the latest notable recruit at the reborn outfit.

Worcester will be contenders, says new man Zheng

The 21-year-old winger makes the permanent switch to Sixways from Harlequins after a season-long loan at London Scottish.

Zheng is excited by the calibre of talent joining him at Sixways — including ex-England internationals Billy Twelvetrees and Matt Kvesic, as well as Premiership stalwart Josh Bassett. Newcastle Falcons full-back Louis Brown also signed up last week.

Zeng told The Rugby Paper: “I didn’t ask who else was signing, I just waited like everyone else. But I've seen some true talent come in. Josh Bassett brings that Premiership experience. He can relay what he’s learned to me, and I can implement parts of his game into mine. That’s exciting.

“It’s so unique building a whole team from scratch. Just seeing how it all gels together is something I'm really looking forward to. I want to get people talking. I want to play consistent rugby, excite the crowd, and help Worcester back to where it belongs.”
