Tigers swamped by Gloucester revival

GLOUCESTER moved to third in the table with a first home victory over Leicester in five years after recovering from 11 points down with 30 minutes to go.
It was another mix of individual brilliance, team ambition and some howlers from the home side. There will be bumps in the road given where Gloucester started, but there is a solidity to them and in Santi Carreras and Tomos Williams they have match turners.
They also fronted up at forward, taking on the Tigers up front and getting some decisions, edging the lineout and scoring two maul tries. Their back row was outstanding and, while Leicester got some joy from their kicking game initially, they were unable to impose themselves physically and faded after scoring their bonus point try after 42 minutes.
Gloucester director of rugby George Skivington said: "What we showed is that we are not all about attack. Leicester had not conceded a driving maul try all season and we scored two and we did well in the set-pieces. It feels like a very big win for us."
