THAT was an awesome performance from the boys. We were talking all week about putting in an 80-minute display and I definitely felt we did that.
The message at half-time was to be relentless and not take our foot off the gas. We pride ourselves on our defence which we showed. We spoke all week about our attack taking a step up to the next level and I think we showed to everyone watching what we’re all about.
I was joined by a new centre partner in Nick Lilley who I played with for the U18s. Fortunately, we get on really well off the pitch as he’s one of my best mates. That was his first start and we were really pleased with how he went. Whoever I get the chance to play with I enjoy because I’m surrounded by great players here.
