Scarlets on fire to send the Bulls to first defeat

WALES wing contenders Tom Rogers and Blair Murray scored superb solo tries as the Scarlets consigned the Bulls to their first URC defeat of the season on a dramatic night in Llanelli.
The visitors from Pretoria led 19-7 at one stage, but the in-form Murray struck at the start of the second half to reduce the deficit. Then, after Bulls replacement hooker Johan Grobbelaar was red carded, Rogers delivered his stunning match-winner eight minutes from time.
Scarlets coach Dwayne Peel said: “I am delighted with the result. It was a big performance and a victory that was deserved in the end.
“There were some big defensive sets and, when we had opportunities, we took them, with our two wingers scoring outstanding finishes.
“It was lovely to hear the crowd singing at the end. It was a good night.”
