Dallaglio: It will take brains to beat Boks

LAWRENCE Dallaglio has warned England they need brains and not just brawn to beat world champions South Africa at Twickenham next weekend.
Dallaglio was part of some of the Red Roses best wins over the Boks back in the day, notably a 53-3 thumping of the South Africans in a bloodbath in 2002 and the group win in Perth a year later on their way to World Cup glory.
Back in the day the Boks were the ultimate route one merchants but Dallaglio has watched them evolve into a complete team under Rassie Erasmus.
They won three tight games on the spin, against France, England and New Zealand, to claim the last World Cup and have added layers onto their attacking game.
And Erasmus has been one of sport’s great innovators, pushing the limits of laws with new tactics like a 7-1 bench and the now outlawed ploy of taking a scrum from a mark.
And Dallaglio has told Steve Borthwick’s men they will need to be streetwise to get over the line or face another agonising near miss against the Boks.
