POSITIVE Hanwell Town boss Chris Moore believes their player retention and recruitment this summer shows how far the club have come in recent years.

JORDY AND CO BOOST GEORDIES

The Geordies won promotion from Isthmian South Central three years ago and have gradually established themselves at Step 3. They finished just above the relegation zone in Southern Premier South in 2023-24, but surged to their highest ever league finish of eighth last term.

That impressive showing has helped former Brentford and Dagenham & Redbridge striker Moore in his wheeling and dealing this sum-mer. He has retained 13 players and already made a handful of captures for the coming campaign.

Forward Jordy Mongoy, 26, has arrived from Chatham Town, while winger Brad Clayton, 27, ended a seven-year stint with Chesham United to move to west London. Former Marlow midfielder Harry Hoath, ex-Whitehawk defender Addison Garnett and former Dulwich Hamlet midfielder Ade Shokunbi have also signed on.

On capturing ex-South Shields and Hemel Hempstead man Mongoy, Moore said: “I had been chasing him for a couple of years, but hadn’t been able to make it happen.
