HILLS ARE ALIVE FOR REFRESHED ACE BRUNT

RYAN Brunt has been lured out of retirement after four years away – and he’s loving every minute of it!

The 31-year-old enjoyed seven years in the EFL with the likes of Bristol Rovers and Plymouth Argyle before dropping into NonLeague with Bath City.

A two-year spell with the Romans resulted in a short stint at Chippenham Town before Brunt called time on his career in November 2020 to concentrate on business interests.

Now, however, the striker has been talked into getting his boots back on for Southern League Division One South side Malvern Town – and he’s feeling right at home again.

“I was feeling healthy but maybe not fit!” Brunt told The NLP. “I just thought ‘why not?’

“My best mate (Joe Tumelty) signed for Malvern at the start of the year and he kept chipping away, telling me to just come training and see how it goes.
