Barnet extend gap to nine points as Heed steal a march

GATESHEAD solidified their play-off hopes as Barnet moved nine points clear at the top of the National League.
The Heed are up to fourth after winning 3-1 at Solihull while the two teams chasing the leaders, York and Forest Green Rovers, dropped points.
Second-placed York needed a Callum Howe injury-time equaliser to make it 2-2 against FC Halifax and Jordon Garrick earned a point for Rovers, in third, who drew 1-1 with Woking.
Callum Stead, Rhys Browne, Dom Telford and Ryan Glover were on target for the leading Bees in a 4-0 rout at Rochdale.
MANAGERLESS AFC Fylde shocked play-off chasing Altrincham with a battling away victory that took them to within a point of safety in the National League.
Gavin Massey and leading scorer Nick Haughton scored either side of a Lewis Banks strike to end Alty’s ten-match unbeaten run and inflict their first loss at home since August.
