CARDS END HOPES OF CUP KINGS

Goals from Aiden O'Brien, Harry Beautyman and Lewis Walker saw the National League side ensure the Cards succeeded where York City failed, leaving boss Ardley beaming.

"Our quality shone through," he said. "We talked about the game being their cup final and we had to match their determination to win the tie and we did that.

"When we came in to the club, we identified goal scoring as an issue and have addressed that with the addition of Aiden O'Brien, and the work done on the training ground.

The Cards, sitting 46 places higher in the pyramid, deservedly led at the break, O'Brien sweeping home a neat finish, as Trinity hesitated, to register his second goal for Woking.
