FIT-AGAIN Ade Azeez is desperate to spearhead Billericay Town’s promotion bid after returning from more than 300 days on the sidelines with a bang.
The popular Blues striker spent over 10 months out after undergoing surgery on a anterior cruciate ligament rupture, meniscus tear and lateral collateral ligament damage.
But on making his long-awaited comeback in a Velocity Cup win over Cheshunt last month, the frontman was back among the goals with his penalty helping his side to a 3-0 win.
Azeez also found the net in a Essex Senior Cup defeat to Chelmsford City last week, and is now determined to play a pivotal role as Gary McCann’s side challenge to regain their place in National League South next season.
