Justin Rose continues to be one of the best players on the planet, and he's focused on adding a Green Jacket and more Majors to his already incredible CV

A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS

The 2013 US Open; Olympic Gold in 2016; a total of 27 professional wins; World No.1 for 13 weeks; Order of Merit titles on both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour; and five team victories from seven appearances in the Ryder Cup - those are the highlights of a glittering career that cements Justin Rose firmly among the best British golfers in modern history.

But the 45-year-old isn’t done yet, as proved by his record-breaking victory at the Farmers Insurance Open in February. The elite are typically judged on their Major haul, and it feels like Rose has been too good for too long to only have one of them tucked away. But for a few shots here or there, he could easily have three or four. He has finished 2nd three times at The Masters with two playoff defeats, twice been a runner-up at The Open, and has recorded a further four top fours in the Majors, with his sights now firmly set on adding to his tally in 2026 and beyond.

“The Majors are where I have my attention, for sure,” he admits. “I’ve achieved a lot in the game, but I’ve achieved a lot of it just once. But if I look at my career, I’ve been really close to The Open, really close to The Masters. The dream of winning all four was obviously the ultimate goal since I was a kid, but it seems a long way off to think that way. But if you think about some of the results I’ve had in the last 18 months, I’m not that far away, so I may as well keep believing.”

He’s right. Rose finished T2nd at The Open in 2024, having gone through Final Qualifying to get there, and was pipped in extra holes at last year’s Masters as Rory McIlroy completed his incredible Career Grand Slam. Add in his win at the FedEx St. Jude last August – a FedExCup playoff event that featured Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and all the best players on the PGA Tour – and it’s clear to see that Rose’s ‘A’ game is still good enough to win more Majors.
