BMW Golf Cup World Final 2024 brings together teams from around the globe to celebrate the brand and the game in Thailand.

WE ARE THE WORLD

They came, they played, they partied, and most of all, they had a great time in the name of BMW and golf. With over three decades of history in its rear-view mirror, BMW Golf Cup has grown from strength to strength and is now considered one of the premier, global corporate golf events in the world.

Last month's BMW Golf Cup World Final 2024 was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 3 to 7 March. The land of a thousand smiles has hosted the World Final on several occasions, but that never tarnishes the shine the destination holds. For the first time, the highlight of the world's largest tournament series for amateur golfers took place in Bangkok, and from its great success, it is unlikely to be the last.

The World Final opened with the traditional parading of the flags of the 38 countries and regions represented. The finalists came through approximately 1,000 qualifying tournaments held around the world in 2024, and played three competition rounds at the Alpine Golf Club. Designed by Ron Garl, the course there is regarded as one of the best in the capital.

The World Final is held in three categories, each played over three rounds: Men's 1 (up to HCP 12), Men's 2 (HCP 13-28) and Ladies (HCP up to 28). As well as the titles being up for grabs in these individual categories, there is also a Nations competition (36 teams) for national teams with the highest three-player aggregate scores.

imageTeam Vietnam emerged victorious with 302 net points, ahead of teams from China (297) and Japan (291). In the Ladies category, the title also went to Vietnam with Thi Quynh Nhu Nguyen (100) edging ahead of Daniela Antillon Goñi (MEX, 97) and Akiko Wakamatsu (JPN, 96).
