Classy racer from the man who reinvented the bicycle wheel
This Nineties steel road bike is as handsome as any, but Pete Matthews is all about the wheels.
Matthews placed adverts in Cycling Weekly claiming that his were the 'world's best wheels', and guaranteeing that if they went out of true he would true them for free.
Famous customers to grace his shop included Robert Millar, Sean Yates, Tony Doyle, John Woodburn, Mandy Jones, Ian Cammish, Michael Hutchinson, Wendy Houvenaghel... and fellow Scouser Alexei Sayle.
