Italian marque's cutting-edge aero bike exploits UCI technical rule changes
Colnago's new YIRS race bike has turned heads this week, with the formerly traditional Italian company saying the aero machine is the culmination of years of effort.
"We started working on this bike in late 2021, which makes it the longest bike development in Colnago's history," said Davide Fumagalli, head of R&D at Colnago. "We haven't had an aero bike in our range since 2016 because, up until now, we haven't found a significant benefit in performance over a bike like the V4Rs.
