CLASSIC BIKE BASSO GAP

When I was a cycling-obsessed kid in the 1980s, I was fortunate enough to live just a pedal turn or two away from the cycling Mecca that is Box Hill. Although I haven't visited for many years, I can still visualise every inch of the iconic Zig-Zag climb; the woody, aromatic scent of juniper, carried on a warm summer's breeze across its steep, grassy slopes, remains as fresh in my mind as ever.
