THE REEL FISHING SIMULATOR
Although I never owned an Atari 2600 on release, several kids in my area did, so I regularly got to play on one. All in all, I think I knew four people with the console and they had a decent number of games between them, so there was never a shortage of things to play.
I'm pretty sure the first time I played Fishing Derby was during this period and I was instantly interested because my grandad had recently taught me how to fish (a hobby I never pursued) and the game itself had nice, chunky, eye-catching visuals that really appealed to me at the time.
