LIGHTWEIGHT GAMING MICE

Gaming mice come in all shapes and sizes, but the competitive FPS gamers among you might already know that weight is actually one of the most important factors. Lugging a veritable sack of potatoes across your mousepad can make hitting those flickshots difficult.

I've grown what some might mistakenly call obsessive over lightweight gaming mice. They've really gotten good over the last few years, to the extent that there are now incredibly light mice that somehow still have decent battery life and sturdy shells. Not all lightweight mice are equal, though, as the wildly different price tags can attest to. Some are cheap and cheerful, others offer top-of-the-line specs that might even be overkill for competitive gamers.

RAZER £170

Flawless for a price

This mouse is not only a fantastic lightweight gaming mouse, it's also our collective favourite gaming mouse full-stop at PC Gamer. There are lighter mice these days, and there are certainly cheaper ones, but if you want the best of the best across the board, look no further.

All this is evident from reading the DeathAdder V4 Pro's spec sheet, of course, with its mighty 45K DPI sensor, 900 IPS max speed, and 85G max acceleration, but it's also evident when you get it in your hand. It feels the £170 part, from its somehow-still-grippy smooth texture to its satisfying buttons and scroll wheel. And, importantly, you get that staple curvy DeathAdder design. It is a lightweight mouse, too, of course, weighing just 56g.

There are lighter mice on the market these days, but none that offer all the DeathAdder does, and it's certainly light enough to be a member of the lightweight gang.
