Latest news from The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal

Ken Blackburn has found hope in his battle with motor neurone disease (MND) behind the lens of his camera capturing beautiful shots of iconic Yorkshire landscapes.

Now his stunning photographs will be on display at the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease when it opens later this autumn at Seacroft Hospital.

Ken, 67, who has lived in Stockton-on-Forest since 1989 with his wife Kay, was diagnosed with primary lateral sclerosis in 2020, a rare, slow-progressing form of MND.

Over the past five years, he has lost his ability to walk and is slowly losing his voice, but through his camera, he has found a new way to connect with the world.

Ken is incredibly proud that some of his photographs will be on display at the new centre.
