The series is an American science fiction drama that premiered on NBC in 2016. It stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett as a team that attempts to stop a mysterious organisation from changing the course of history through time travel.

The series was created by Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke, and also stars Sakina Jaffrey, Paterson Joseph, Claudia Doumit and Goran Višnjić.

Of course, time travel in novel form is not new. The first time machine novel by HG Wells was published in 1895 and is considered to be one of the earliest works of science fiction and progenitor of the time travel genre.

The series begins with an introduction to mysterious tech genius, Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph), who has developed a time machine. His goal is to explore where we came from, so hopefully we can explore and in future rectify the mistakes of the past and learn where we're going.
