Honouring Laura
Yorkshire Evening Post
|June 20, 2025
The 777-mile challenge is part of Jonathan and his family's efforts to continue Laura's legacy.
-
On October 7 a charity dinner will be hosted at the Royal Armouries Museum, sponsored by HCS Water Treatment, to raise money for St Gemma's Hospice and Combat Stress. And later in the year he plans to launch the Laura James Double Helix Award at Roundhay School.
You can donate to the Laura James Charity Fundraiser on GoFundMe.
What was previously a challenge for two men involving two mountains became a one-man venture... but with one more mountain rather than one fewer.
Jonathan said: “The part of me that likes to do crazy things was thinking if you’re going to do two you may as well do three.”
