Extra cash to complete White Rose station

Extra funds will be ploughed into a delayed railway station project which could be completed almost three years later than planned.
The White Rose Rail Station scheme is around 70 per cent finished, despite the entire £26.5m budget being spent.
Work on the new station, originally due to open in 2024 between Morley and Cottingley, was halted in March that year due to rising costs.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) leaders are expected to agree extra cash for the scheme at a meeting next week.
WYCA said the sum, yet to be disclosed, could see the new station opened by January 2027.
