I started with some sensationally cooked scallops, juicy and tender, alongside samphire and other fresh vegetables.

For our main we shared a beautiful cote de boeuf, charred on the outside and perfectly medium-rare on the inside.

All of the sides are also exquisite, triple-cooked chips that are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the centre, fresh heritage tomatoes and chargrilled garlic veggies that are delicious dipped in the peppercorn sauce.

The sommelier recommended a light Syrah from Tuscany which matched up brilliantly with the rich meat.
