Businesses and temple hit out at permit parking

New parking restrictions introduced in a Leeds ward have caused “havoc” for local businesses, residents and places of worship.
Parking on some streets around Hyde Park is now for permit holders only.
‘Permit holder only’ signs appeared on residential streets across the Hyde Park area in August, including in Burley Lodge Road and Carberry Road, and double yellow lines were also placed on Alexandra Road.
Leeds City Council has said they were introduced following requests over the last five years as a result of “indiscriminate and obstructive long-stay (nonresidential) parking”.
