They don’t call him The Boss for nothing. Bruce Stringsteen has set the template for popular mainstream rock while remaining a man of the people.

So a biopic of the now-76 -year-old is long overdue and sure to be a hit with longtime aficionados and casual music fans alike.
Writer-director Scott Cooper focuses on a two-year period when the New Jersey-born songwriter frustrated his record label by concentrating on a low-fi passion project.
Springsteen (Jeremy Allen White) completes his 1981 world tour to promote double album The River with two sweat-drenched concert dates in Cincinnati.
