Chairman Garhi directs police to resolve SC family issue within 72 hours, says commission committed to rights of SC community

Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi today reached here to investigate the alleged atrocities committed against a SC family in Tapa. He was accompanied by SC commission members Rupinder Singh Sital and Gulzar Singh. Chairman Garhi met the complainant and the other party. Talking to reporters, he said that Pritam Singh has accused some people of using derogatory casteist language against him. Mr. Garhi further said that it is a dispute over land/street access.
