At 49, Dr. V.S. Birk completes 65 half marathons and 4 full marathons in just over two years

Defying age, expectations, and a busy medical career, Dr. V.S. Birk, a renowned orthopedic specialist from Karnal, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration—not only for doctors but for the general public.
In just two and a half years, Dr. Birk has completed 65 half marathons (21 km each) and 4 full marathons (42 km each)—a remarkable feat for anyone, let alone a 49-year-old with a packed professional schedule.
Dr. Birk, who hails from a rural background and whose father is a well-known farmer, completed his medical studies (MBBS and post-graduation) from PGIMS Rohtak. Over the years, he established a leading multi-specialty private hospital in Karnal and became one of the city’s busiest doctors.
