Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke MP Pamela Nash, visited Wishaw’s Logan GP Practice to find out how it meets the demands of a busy surgery.
The practice, based in the Houldsworth Centre, expanded with the takeover of the Dryburgh Medical Practice in 2023, and merged with the Willow Wood practice in April this year.
Nash met with GP Partner, Dr Elizabeth Peak, and surgery staff, and spoke generally about the challenges faced by General Practice and the NHS in Scotland, as well as Logan's business model to ensure the surgery runs as seamlessly as possible.
Nash said: "It is clear the NHS is under incredible strain, and the news that the number of confirmed cases of flu in Scotland more than doubled recently is concerning.
