Warning after car plunges 50ft down river bank

FIRE crews have issued a warning to drivers over a Dartmoor accident hotspot after a car plunged over a 50ft drop. Late on Friday night, a vehicle left the road at the Spitchwick junction in the Poundsgate area and into a wooded area.

Teams from Buckfastleigh, Ashburton and Bovey Tracey fire stations were sent to the scene, with the officer in charge 'fearing the worst.' But miraculously, the three occupants were not injured but trapped within the vehicle due to damage
