Victory kept leaders Camborne seven points clear of chasers Luctonians at the top of the table. Barnstaple are now a distant third following their defeat away to Weston Hornets.

The Students were up against it from the first minute after losing lock Jack Murphy to a red card. Referee James Milner brandished a yellow card for a dangerous tackle on Rory O'Kane, which was upgraded to red for comments made.
