‘There has been a lot of talk among the Green Army about Hallett’s assertion that Argyle had a top six budget in League One, and how well that has been spent given the generally poor results this season.
Adams said: “It’s black and white, it’s a top six budget. We all speak about looking at statistics etc, and that’s where we are.
“At this moment in time we are in a situation where we have to improve and I'm currently looking over the transfer activity in the summer and looking to see what has been done well and what hasn’t been done well, and not only that looking back to previous as well.
“Myself, David and Tom have sat down, and the CEO (Paul Berne) has been involved in the meetings as well, and we have looked at the areas where the head coach wants to strengthen his team. We are going to look at the best possibilities we can get for that January period”
‘There has been some speculation this week that Ryan Hardie, who left Argyle in a £700,000 transfer to Wrexham in the summer, could be looking to move elsewhere after getting only limited game time with the Championship club.
