> Wrexham's James McClean tussles with Swansea City's Zeidane Inoussa in last week's clash
The Red Dragons were beaten 2-1 by their South Wales rivals at the Swansea.com Stadium on Friday evening and the former Premier League star was charged with violent conduct following an altercation towards the end of the match.
Footage came to light after the game that seems to show the 36-year-old striking out at Swansea forward Ronald while he was lying on the floor during the latter stages of the fixture.
The FA has not confirmed if this incident prompted the suspension, which will rule McClean out of Wrexham’s upcoming Championship games against Sheffield United, Preston and Blackburn.
The FA said in a statement: “James McClean has been suspended for three matches following the EFL Championship game between Swansea City AFC and Wrexham AFC on Friday, December 19.
