STUDENTS and their teachers across Wales are to be congratulated on their impressive A-level, AS-level and vocational results.

The hard work has paid off for those who have got the well-deserved grades they need to go on to university, jobs, further study or apprenticeships.
Some of the stories of teenagers overcoming illness, bereavement and other adversity during their studies are humbling.
Those leaving school and college this year were 13 or 14 when schools shut to most pupils during Covid. They, like other students at school during the pandemic, have had their education disrupted.
