Their first Senedd member, Laura Anne Jones, was suspended from the Welsh Parliament for 14 days after an independent standards process found she had used a racial slur.

Days later, their former Welsh leader Nathan Gill was jailed for 10-and-a-half years after admitting taking bribes while an MEP.

Then, their leader, Nigel Farage, has faced tough questions about accusations he himself had allegedly made racist and antisemitic remarks, which a spokesperson denied.
