Runners brave wind and rain to tackle Swansea Bay 10k

MORE than 5,000 runners defied the blustery and showery weather in this year’s Admiral Swansea Bay 10k.

Starting near St Helen’s Ground, runners followed the scenic route to Mumbles before returning along the Swansea seafront to a lively finish-line celebration.
‘The winner of the 10k Men's race was local star Dewi Griffiths in 29:46.
The winner of the 10k Women’s race was Louise Small in 33:22.
The 10k wheelchair race was won by Owain Terrell in 31:53.
One runner had to be taken to hospital following a medical episode.
