Reds still looking for first point

WHAT a difference a few months can make! Go back to April and Lee John’s Llanelli Town side were finally celebrating winning the JD Cymru South title after successive second place finishes.

Reds still looking for first point

Nine games into their first season back in the topflight they find themselves rock bottom of the JD Cymru Premier and out of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

They did manage to beat Ynyshir Albions in the first round of the league cup, but they are conceding an average of 3.7 goals per game in the league and sit pointless at the bottom.

Last year's promotion campaign got off to a slow start with only four wins in their opening 10 games and there are comparisons with their predecessors as southern champions, Briton Ferry Llansawel, who lost their first seven games after gaining promotion, picked up their first point on 21 September 2024 and had to wait until three days later for their first taste of victory in a 1-0 at Penybont.
