Western Mail
|November 05, 2025
IN WALES we are working towards a cleaner, greener and stronger nation. As we mark Wales Climate Week, it’s a timely reminder that moving to net zero is an economic opportunity that demands a skilled and prepared workforce.
-

Net zero means balancing the greenhouse gases we produce against those we remove from the atmosphere. By equipping the workforce and investing in net zero skills, businesses can reduce their carbon footprint, cut energy costs and build brands that customers trust.
The demand for net zero skills is growing across Wales, and we want to help employers develop and train their workforce.
