Mexicans offer a different version of events to Ramsey

AARON Ramsey's Mexican expedition took a disastrous twist after his dog disappeared before Pumas UNAM terminated his contract.

The former Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder opened up about the split after his deal was torn up at the end of October, but there appear to be conflicting sides to the story.

Hopes were high that Ramsey, who turns 35 on Boxing Day, would enjoy a resurgence in Liga MX after a thrilling start to his Pumas career.

However, it wasn’t long before the playmaker was hampered by familiar injury issues, making just six appearances for the club before they cut ties.

What was meant to be a daring late turn in his career took a dark twist in October when Ramsey announced his beloved dog, Halo, had gone missing.

The Wales legend and his family took to social media in an effort to locate their pet beagle, which disappeared from a ranch in the city of San Miguel de Allende, even offering £15,000 for her safe return.

Ramsey's wife, Colleen, has since posted a tragic update saying the family “have to accept she has likely passed away.”
