MIMI Xu believes an increase in maturity is helping her cope with the bright lights of Wimbledon.

Back in the junior singles draw after a memorable senior debut that ended with a loss against British No. 1 Emma Raducanu, the 17-year-old Welsh star defeated American Thea Frodin 2-6 6-3 7-5 to join fellow Brits Hannah Klugman and Flora Johnson in the last 32.

And Xu believes her victory owes it to her exposure to life on the senior circuit and the lessons she has learned from the likes of Raducanu, Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal.

“I’m holding myself as a professional and treating myself like one,” said the Swansea ace.
