Man who left partner fearing for her life told her 'snitches get stitches'

A WOMAN thought she was going to die after her partner lifted her off the floor with his hands around her neck.
She was too afraid to call the police because her boyfriend told her “snitches get stitches”.
Shaun Davies, 37, had been in a relationship with his victim for two years when he attacked her in a fit of rage when she started crying during an argument.
He went on to harass her after the police were contacted, by calling her up to 500 times a day.
A sentencing hearing at Newport Crown Court on Monday heard the victim woke up on February 3 last year and questioned the defendant, of Wick, Vale of Glamorgan, on whether he wanted to spend time with her.
He became “defensive and then aggressive” and the victim began to cry, which Davies “did not tolerate”.
Prosecutor Pamela Kaiga said the defendant picked the victim up out of her chair by her throat.
