Housing group awards £2m maintenance contract

HOUSING association Caredig has appointed a new maintenance services provider for its portfolio of more than 2,800 homes.

The Swansea-based housing association, which provides social housing from Neath Port Talbot to Pembrokeshire, has appointed Cardo (Wales & West) to a £2m annual contract, will run for an initial two years with the option to extend for a further two. It covers a range of essential services including scheduled upgrades, major works in empty homes, routine repairs and out-of-hours emergency support.
