Disappointing start for Tandy and some changes are needed for the 'must-win' clash against Japan

SUNDAY'S game was a huge disappointment and that is an understatement.

Last week, I genuinely believed if we were suitably motivated and pointed in the right direction we would push Argentina very close.

This team was Seve Tandy's first selection and they were in the privileged position of having the first opportunity to impress.

Instead, some of the players have actually played themselves out of the team.

Ben Thomas, in particular, has done himself absolutely no favours given the circumstances leading to his yellow card and gifting the Pumas an interception try.

To score 28 points in a Test match, you'd think Wales would have played well.

You certainly wouldn't have expected us have finished the game on the wrong end of a 52-pointer.

Our defence was disorganised and we didn't put as much pressure on them at the breakdown that we should have. We missed so many tackles

Tackling is an absolute basic of the game. After all, that's why rugby is called a physical contact sport. If those tackles had been made Argentina wouldn't have scored seven tries.

My biggest disappointment was that we didn't make life difficult for Argentina. We made it an easy 52 points for them.

Jac Morgan consistently fights for everything and, in that respect, was our best player.

He sets a fine example for the others to follow but he can't do it all on his own.

He will be badly missed for the remaining games.

Dafydd Jenkins and Adam Beard both put in decent shifts in defence and I was pleased to see that Keiron Assiratti stepped up to the mark in that respect.
