Western Mail

CHRISTIAN FUCHS saw a first win as Newport County boss snatched away by a late leveller from Barrow, but insisted his side had “created some sort of hope” in their battle to survive in League Two.
-
County looked set for a first home win since March 15 thanks to goals from Anthony Glennon and Courtney Baker-Richardson but a depleted Barrow side rescued a point with their second equaliser in the 84th minute.
‘The Exiles remain four points adrift at the bottom of League ‘Two and five points from safety but Fuchs was happy with what he saw in his first match at Rodney Parade.
“There were a lot improvements compared to the weekend before” said the Austrian, who suffered a 3-0 defeat at Oldham Athletic in his first game.
