BLUEBIRDS READY FOR RANGERS TEST
Western Mail
|July 21, 2025
CARDIFF City are turning their attentions to QPR as they chase another preseason scalp.
-
The Bluebirds take on the London club behind closed doors on Wednesday as they step up preparations for the new season.
The two clubs were Championship rivals last term. But while Rangers avoided the drop, Cardiff could not avoid the threat of relegation and will feature in League One this season.
Cardiff then head to Meadow Lane on Saturday for their final preseason friendly before the league season starts the following week with a home game against Peterborough.
Cardiff beat Cambridge United in convincing fashion in a friendly on Friday.
Brian Barry-Murphy used a total of 23 players across the two matches, the first of which saw them beat Cambridge 3-1.
Callum Robinson and Isaak Davies were both on the scoresheet for City.
So too was Chris Willock.
Cardiff then beat Cambridge 2-0 in the second outing, with Yousef Sa-lech continuing his fine form in front of goal. Cian Ashford grabbed the second goal.
