Application to increase size of energy park wind turbines

AN APPLICATION has been made to increase the size of planned new wind turbines at Twyn Hywel Energy Park.
‘The changes would involve altering the rotor diameter of the proposed wind turbines from 155m to 163m, changing the height of the onsite transformer from six metres to 11 metres and enlarging the grid connection corridor.
Planning consent was approved by the Welsh Government in November 2024 for up to 14 wind turbines and associated infrastructure on land north of Senghenydd, Caerphilly.
‘The application was designated as a development of national significance.
